I have been using these guys for a few years after my 2 previous mechanics closed shop. I found them through AAA, they have come to service my battery several times and I have since put in about 2k in work on my car with them. I’ve been charged to have it looked at my them before, but it was 89.99, and the price would be included into any work needed had i chosen to get the work done, fair enough. In the past they have been prompt, professional, and fair with no inkling of working on things that didn’t need doing. Whole different experience this time. I called Friday and scheduled an appointment for today, when I came in they seemed miffed that I came in, like I hadn’t made an appointment. With my previous mechanics, had I given them so much repeat business they would’ve known who i was, known the car, remembered that they had worked on it and what work they did. Also they would look at it and not charge for diagnostic. Today I was greeted with a cold shoulder, had to tell the guy several times i had been there before, and he wanted to charge me $300 dollars to plug it into their computer and read the diagnostic codes. I guess they think I’m stupid, and I almost was stupid enough to let that happen but luckily I got wise. I know a “we don’t want you business” charge when I see one. I guess they’re too busy working on the Porsche’s and Beemers of the “Silicon Beach” crowd to want my business anymore.
