Classic tire scam. I got a nail in my tire and stopped in to get it repaired a plug. They said no matter what it's $25 just to look at it and it would be $30 if they could repair it. That's $10 more than the going rate but fine....just do it. The first thing I say is that my tires are really low on tread. I had just got my tires rotated at the dealership a week before and they told me I had about 5,000 mi left on it. I told him that and I said Oh you make it 500 mi maybe. I told him just to repair the tire. So they pull it off and they find the hole but then they say my tread is coming off and splitting and it's unsafe to put a plug in it and I have to buy new tires from them today. I told him no just put the plug and they absolutely refused. I said fine just put the tire back on and fill up with air. I paid my $25 and went up the street. That place they fixed it for $20 and told me that guy was trying to scam me, Just as my intuition thought. The next day I drove down to Orange County where my best friend owns a mechanic business. I got a third opinion and he confirmed this place is a bunch of cheaters and liars. He looked at my tire and said there's absolutely no split, he confirmed I have about 5,000 mi left, without a doubt. Well I don't think I'll ever bring my car back here to these cheats.
