Marina del Rey Auto Repair

Very impressed with the team at Villa Marina Auto Care. As I was headed to work this morning it was clear my tire was too low on air. I pulled in here and immediately diagnosed the problem as a screw was in my tire. I didn't have much time to spare but these guys gave me an estimate and told me they could have it repaired in less than 30 minutes. They completed the job in 20 minutes and even sanitized my steering wheel and key fab as they all were taking Covid-19 precautions and wearing masks and gloves. Joe, Chris and the crew were professional and reliable and my total cost came to $29. Unbelievable! They'll definitely be getting my business again and fortunately for me they are across the street from my condo unit. Great service and professional care!

This place is a complete waste of time. Not only is the owner rude, but refused to refund money when due. This place "fixed" our car and after driving it home the issue started up again. The offered to have it brought in for another $150 + what ever it took to fix the "new problem". When asked the owner said they never ran diagnostics in the first place and didn't think they had to look past any other issues once they got the car to start since it was brought in because it was dead. Extremely negligent and dangerous to send us out with a car that died not too long after that. We now have it at another extremely reliable mechanic who has said it looks like nothing was done in the first place. Highly recommend you go elsewhere, it's not worth the trouble. Glad they got to the car to start, but I did that too by jumping it. Not really $700 worth of work there.

Fernando is AWESOME! From start to finish he was so professional, friendly and specific about everything they were going to do to my car and then explaining the diagnostics to me. Thank you for the great service !! I appreciated the way I was treated !

Classic tire scam. I got a nail in my tire and stopped in to get it repaired a plug. They said no matter what it's $25 just to look at it and it would be $30 if they could repair it. That's $10 more than the going rate but fine....just do it. The first thing I say is that my tires are really low on tread. I had just got my tires rotated at the dealership a week before and they told me I had about 5,000 mi left on it. I told him that and I said Oh you make it 500 mi maybe. I told him just to repair the tire. So they pull it off and they find the hole but then they say my tread is coming off and splitting and it's unsafe to put a plug in it and I have to buy new tires from them today. I told him no just put the plug and they absolutely refused. I said fine just put the tire back on and fill up with air. I paid my $25 and went up the street. That place they fixed it for $20 and told me that guy was trying to scam me, Just as my intuition thought. The next day I drove down to Orange County where my best friend owns a mechanic business. I got a third opinion and he confirmed this place is a bunch of cheaters and liars. He looked at my tire and said there's absolutely no split, he confirmed I have about 5,000 mi left, without a doubt. Well I don't think I'll ever bring my car back here to these cheats.

I had a great experience with Villa Marina, they saved us money on repairs and confirmed that some of what others told us we needed was actually not necessary.

Seriously one of the best and most professional experiences I've had in an autoshop. Joe, the owner personally greeted us and was kind enough to give us some spare jumper cables. Merry Christmas he said and that was it. You don't get that kind of service anymore. So glad I found this place.

AAA sent me a tow truck from here. My car was stuck in the sand, with tires wedged up against a concrete post. I thought it was going to be a big deal. I wish I remembered the tow truck driver's name. He was amazing. Got here quicker than estimated time, and was very friendly. He looked over my car and said, "This might take a while." It took him just under 5 minutes to get my car out. It was awesome.

Fernando was very thorough and explained in great detail why all the repairs (coolant thermostat and shock absorbers) were needed. My drive is much smoother and that darn check engine light is finally off. Since I had to leave the car overnight, he recommended Marathon Rental Cars, which was very affordable. Marathon Rental picked me up and dropped me off after the repairs were finished. The costs for the repairs were about $2,000 less than the dealership! I highly recommend their services.

We can walk right over as well - so convenient! Hard to find people like this in any business let alone auto repair! I recommend them with complete enthusiasm.
